Get insights and inspiration from 100 speakers on the “Big Picture” and “Deep Dive” stages at OMR18

100 speakers for 25 euro—pretty good deal, huh? It’s an OMR first this March 22 and 23, as we’re going with two stages at the Expo—which will also be held on BOTH festival days for the first time. That means that everyone with a Festival ticket can drop by and load up on inspiration. Two days, two stages—and today we’re announcing the first four speakers.

This year we’re clustering the two stages into related topics to make sure that you know what to expect. On the “Big Picture Stage” smack dab in the middle of Hall A4, the speakers will be tackling wide-ranging marketing topics like adtech, innovation, big brands, influencer marketing, eCommerce, video and much more. By highlighting best cases that worked, you can find inspiration to take the marketing path less travelled.

The second stage is our “Deep Dive Stage,” which you’ll find in Hall A2. What can you expect on the Deep Dive stage? Basically, it’s our Deep Dive seminars of the same name, but this time on its very own stage. Here you’ll find expert speakers, who will be tackling one specific topic in greater detail in longer slots (20-25 mins.). By taking an in-depth look at projects and tools, they’ll give you detailed, actionable solutions to specific marketing problems in SEO, analytics, social media marketing and conversion optimization.

These speakers are taking the stage in 2018

Sharmadean Reid: Making over the nail salon business

Sharmadean Reid

Sharmadean Reid

Sharmadean Reid opened her first nail salon “WAH Nails” in London back in 2009. And since then, she’s turned her small shop into a social media phenomenon. The official Instagram account has nearly 60,000 followers. The clever social strategy helped Reid transform her nail salon into one of London’s hot spots for hipsters. In late 2016, she opened the nail salon of the future in Soho: clients can design their own nails and check to see if the style works all via a VR-app. She also employs a host of clever marketing tactics online as well. She sells her products (artificial nails, nail accessories, etc.) on large partner shops such as Asos in massive quantities. Together with the shop she has also released her own clothing collection. At OMR18, Reid will tell us how she used innovative ideas to nail down a successful business.

Nick Schwab: His Amazon Alexa skills reach 250K people a month

Nick Schwab

Nick Schwab

In all honesty, Nick Schwab’s real job is that of a Senior Developer at US car maker Ford. His passion for voice assistants, like Alexa, however, led him to develop his first Alexa skill in his free time: With “Bargain Buddy,” users could stay up-to-date on current deals online. But the Skill failed to attract a broad audience. His breakthrough came later with “Rain Sounds.” It was such a success in the Amazon Skill shop that he started developing additional ambient Skills with thunder, animal and other sounds. His portfolio now numbers 20 Skills and Nick reaches over 250,000 users per month—there’s a reason why he’s considered a foremost expert on the topic. On the “Deep Dive” stage, Nick will show companies and online marketers how they can reach their goals using skills.

Krista Seiden: Analytics expert helps you optimize

Krista Seiden

Krista Seiden

Krista Seiden ran the analytics arms at Adobe and The Apollo Group—and is now in charge of the Web Analytics team for B2B at Google in Silicon Valley. Here she blogs frequently —and entertainingly—about all things analytics. There is hardly anyone more knowledgeable about the topic with as much access as she does to one of the most used analytics tool around: Google Analytics. Seiden has a very precise plan for what she’ll discuss at OMR18: A top-10 of popular analytics and optimization strategies that are more show than substance. And which alternatives are more suitable.

Aleyda Solis: SEO tips for successful online shops

Aleyda Solis

Aleyda Solis

SEO has longsince broken through to the mainstream as a marketing discipline. Is the discipline all but dried up due to a flooded market or are there still tricks available to boost publisher traffic and sales? Aleyda Solis is one of the most-prolific SEO experts on the planet and graced the Expo stage last year. With her company Orainti she advises international companies and startups in all manner of search-related topics. In 2015 she was named one of Forbes’ 10 Digital Marketing specialists to follow in 2015 and one of Entrepreneur’s 50 Online Marketing Influencers to follow in 2016. On the Deep Dive stage she’ll deliver SEO expertise and tips for eCommerce.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be announcing more of our lineup, which you can see on our two Expo stages with any OMR18 ticket (be it with the Expo only or All incl. ticket). You can look forward to a few surprises as well!
